Nestling in the south-eastern corner of Spain at the foothills of the Sierra Cabrera, the relatively unknown and less developed ancient village of Mojacar boasts the sunniest and driest climate in Spain with over 3,000 hours of sunshine a year. The temperature is rarely lower than 13 degrees C in winter. Mojacar is aptly named and famous throughout Spain as El Rincon del Embrujo, “The Corner of Enchantment”.

Mojacar is a Moorish hilltop village with a maize of steep intriguing cobbled alleyways. There are lots of sandy beaches, spectacular mountain countryside and many traditional villages. Spectacular Granada and the Sierra Nevada, one of Spain’s vest ski areas, are only 2 hours away.

Almeria is the nearest airport, 50 minutes, but flights are also widely available to Mercia, Alicante. The new road networks are not crowded making driving a pleasure.

There are several golf courses, tennis and squash courts nearby as well as sailing, diving, horse riding, fishing. The new highly prestigious Playa Macenas Beach & Golf resort makes this a very desirable area. Other golf courses are the seafront Marina Golf, Valle de Este, Desert Springs and Cortijo Grande

The beaches are well equipped with children’s playgrounds and boast 3 Blue European Flag Awards for cleanliness.

The 2 bed roomed apartment is located on the 3rd floor of a beautiful new development 5 minutes walk from the beach. Amidst the communal gardens are 3 large swimming pools and 3 baby pools and a tennis court. There are many good restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance.
