Location: La Garriga is an extremely pretty spa town with some excellent modernist architecture. At the turn of the century it was one of the most favoured locations for wealthy Catalan families to own second residences and consequently there are an incredible amount of large modernist townhouses, many designed by the modernist architect Manuel Joaquim, Raspall. There is a 155 room 5* spa hotel – Gran Hotel Balneario Blancafort and several extremely good restaurants. Barcelona is just over 30 minutes by car or 25 minutes by train into the central station, Placa Catalunya. The Montseny natural park is a short drive away – with opportunities for walking, horseback riding, climbing and other extreme sports. There are some excellent golf courses in the area, including the Club de Golf de Muntanya. The Formula 1 circuit is a 10 minute drive away. Barcelona 30 km away.
