What you would be purchasing is the freehold (all paperwork in order) of two smashing little back-to-back village houses, in the popular coastal - 2km to the sea - village of Torrox Pueblo. One / two bedroomed, both properties have wonderful, sea, village and moutain views and are finished to a very high spec., with solid wooden doors, fully fitted kitchens non-slip tiling and bespoke wrought iron work. This pair are typically Andalusian style village houses (no two are the same), located on the Costa del Sol some 40 mins. easy drive from Malaga Airport. You literally have nothing to do but furnish and move in.
The houses are a bargain and priced to sell, as this website cuts out the cost of agents which would be over 6,000 euros each house in Spain. Also they are without doubt the cheapest, totally renovated houses in the village.
Casa de la Sol (House of Sunshine) is an upside down house with a double bedroom with fitted wardrobe and a lovely shower room downstairs, and a kitchen/ lounge upstairs with direct access to the large terrace with stunning sea and mountain views. This arrangement is very useful and quite common as it makes al fresco dining on the terrace so easy.
Casa de la Fortunada (The Lucky House) is slightly larger with a reception sitting room at the entrance, a room to the left (either bedroom or lounge) then a separate fitted kitchen, and a lovely shower room. Upstairs is a bedroom with fitted wardrobe and further up is the terrace again with delightful sea, village and mountain views.
Both houses have been designed, to ensure that should you wish to have a second sleeping area, the bedrooms and sitting rooms can access the shower rooms/wc without intruding upon each other so the properties could both quite easily sleep four people. These little houses were ruins when I bought them and after several years sorting out the paper work, several years of trying to find an architect, getting the plans passed and finding a reliable builder, they have, at long last been completed many years later - never let anyone mislead you into believing it is easy to renovate a property in a foreign country. As I was originally intending to live in one and let the other myself, I made sure that everything was finished to a very high spec. (meet the builder he is from Telford).
Well things have changed and I now find that they are sitting empty and it is a pity because Torrox is just a great place to be, with its many little shops, market, doctors/dentists, easy transport links, municipal swimming pool, 2kms from the beach. An ideal place to live for an ex-pat or just to use as your place in the sun. Whilst intrinsically Spanish there are quite a few English folk who had the same idea as me so you need not feel lonely or isolated.
